Sandro Ferrera consegue il diploma in Tromba al Conservatorio "Luisa D'Annunzio" di Pescara. Ha frequentato i corsi della "Jazz University" di Terni approfondendo lo studio dell'improvvisazione e della composizione con Paolo Fresu e Bruno Tommaso.
